I'm a day trader out of southern Indiana. For a long time I lost money the way most people do: not because I couldn't find setups, but because I couldn't stay out of my own way.
I cut winners the second they went green and held losers hoping. I blew through my own max-trade cap by 10:00 and told myself the next one was different. I gave back green mornings by lunch. I revenge-traded a red open more times than I'll admit here. And the part that still bothers me most: I had no idea that those were the numbers that mattered. I tracked P&L. I never tracked the behavior that was producing it — because nobody told me it could be tracked, and no tool I'd paid for was built to.
So I built one. Selfishly. TradeBound started as a way to make the version of me at 9:30 the one in charge at 11:04 — a program that would count my trades honestly, warn me while I could still listen, and, when I armed it, close DAS on me when I crossed a line I'd drawn myself. It's been running on my own machine every session since.
What's happening right now is the only marketing I trust. I'm trading with it live, and the numbers on the left are mine, updated as I go — the good weeks and the ones I'd rather not post. If the app stops working for me, you'll see it here first.
Who this is for — and who it isn't
If you already have a strategy that works when you follow it, and your problem is the following-it part, TradeBound was built for exactly you. If you're brand new, I want to be straight: this won't teach you to trade, and enforcement only helps once you have rules worth enforcing. It works with DAS Trader Pro today, on Windows, and there are rough edges I list on this page on purpose. Some newer traders will get less out of it than I'd like. I'd rather tell you that than take your $99.
Why there's a community at all
Because I like building things, and because I traded better every single time someone was watching. The community is the second half of the tool: people working on the same problem, keeping score on process instead of money, and reaching back for the next person the way a few people reached back for me. Nobody here sells signals. We show each other our clips.
What I actually want
More transparency about why traders lose. The numbers are brutal and the industry mostly profits from you not knowing them. I'd like every person who joins to understand their own behavior well enough to make a real decision about whether trading is for them — and, if it is, to have something standing between them and tilt. If that's you, come in. If it's not, the studies up top are free.
